The film interweaves the intimate and emotionally charged conversations of diverse couples and individuals as they navigate love, separation, and personal journeys. Each conversation is intertwined with poignant flashbacks, painting a rich tapestry of human connections. Rooted in the identities we navigate in the world, these stories are deeply personal, drawing inspiration from real relationships and significant moments in the Director/Writer's life. This film is an anthology of Calgary, highlighitng what it means to be alive and connected in this city today.
'Yesterday, Last Year' not only delves into the complexities of love but also sets the stage for a cinematic universe where these characters, based on authentic experiences, find their own spin-offs and lives, all anchored in the captivating and ever-evolving city of Calgary.
